2026 BBQ Cook-Off Team Information & Registration 

Event & Judging Date: Saturday, February 21, 2026 | 11 AM to 3 PM

Team Check-In: Friday, February 20, 2026, from 12 PM to 5 PM

Backyard Team Entry Fee: $100     Corporate Team Entry Fee: $1,500

Plus, three meat categories: Brisket, Pork, and Ribs
1st Place ($500) 
2nd Place ($250)
3rd Place ($100)

Backyard Teams will compete for their own special People’s Choice Award and prize! The winner for the 2025 event was A1 Jerk and Soul Food.

Corporate Challenge Teams will compete for the coveted Golden Pig Trophy, currently held by Appliance Warehouse (Space Station BBQ). The Corporate Challenge is a separate corporate version of the People’s Choice Award, and the winner can proudly display the Pig Trophy until the 2027 event.

Mandatory Captain Meeting
Friday, February 20, 2026, at 5:45 PM (time subject to change)

Friday Night Event
A team party will occur on Friday from 7 PM to 9 PM. More details will be emailed to you no later than a week before the main event.

How to Register:

1. Decide if you are competing as a Backyard Team or the Corporate Challenge Team 
2. Review the Official Competition Rules (The rules page includes a link to the printable version that must be signed and returned to the EFSC Foundation)
3. Pay the entry fee using a card with the form below
4. Pay the entry fee by mail by sending a check to:

5. Mail a signed copy of the rules to that address or email a signed and scanned copy to Dawn Niehoff at niehoffd@easternflorida.edu prior to entering the BBQ site on Friday, February 20, 2026.
